From Long Beach, California these guys started back in 2004. But it wasn’t until recently that they started to really get the attention they deserve. Nathan Willett, Dann Gallucci, Matt Maust, Joe Plummer, and Matthew Schwartz get tougher and have this rocky blues style that fans of Coconut Records, Ra Ra Riot, and Tokyo Police Club will enjoy.
I didn’t start listenting to Cold War Kids until a few months ago and have eagerly been waiting for the new album to drop since I heard “First”. The new album, “Hold My Home” was released October 21st and it does not disappoint.
They’re already are on the list for Falls Festival in Australia then at the beginning of the year they kick off their US tour. If you can, go see them! These guys are sure to blow up whether or not they ever get radio play on top 40 or if they just make their mark in the indie scene. It’s going to be worth it.
